Beyond this, the outdoor area includes play equipment, bird boxes, and a stunning forest school area with established trees, a mud kitchen, and a range of natural materials. The sounds of birdsong and the gentle rustling of leaves create an incredibly calming atmosphere, fostering a deep connection to nature and encouraging outdoor exploration. Also, the nursery has thoughtfully incorporated areas for construction play, where children can experiment as they hear trains that go past the nursery, learn about how they work, and develop their understanding of sound and mechanics through imaginative building activities. During my visit, I observed children playing happily—one child was expressing joy and excitement during a snack time, communicating with a practitioner, while another was confidently expressing joy to another member of practitioner. It was evident that practitioners are highly attentive, engaging at the child’s level, and providing full support to foster confidence and communication. The setting also makes full use of the gym facilities for activities like yoga and swimming lessons, providing children with varied opportunities to develop physical skills and enjoy new experiences. Staff regularly undertake CPD training, ensuring that they stay current and equipped to deliver the best possible care and education.
