Returning to normality can be a struggle, particularly if you’ve spent time off on holiday and with your family. It’s easy to mourn the end of a season of rest and relaxation that your well- deserved break offered.
Time off at home can give us the breathing space we need to reflect on what is important to us and what we actually want from our lives...
Try to see this time off as a chance to do something new. Whether you decide to learn a new skill or to study qualifications to improve your career prospects, now’s a terrific time for that new opportunity, now’s a good time to move up a gear or two.
There are some things you can do:
If your prolonged break has hopefully left you refreshed and re-energised, then why not put that energy to good use and challenge yourself by enrolling on a course. Possibly there’s something you’ve been wanting to learn for a while but have been putting it off, or perhaps you would benefit from an additional qualification or training to bridge any gaps in your current skillset. Studying for a qualification and the challenges that brings can be the perfect motivational means for you.
You could find out what training opportunities are available to you in your current role. As an alternative you can find numerous courses at www.Coursedetective.co.uk ranging from GCSE’s to Assessor awards. A lot of people are surprised to discover how affordable the courses are.
Learning and gaining a new qualification is a brilliant way to enhance your credentials demonstrating that you have the self-motivation and determination to improve your knowledge independently.
If you know what you want to do in the long term, look at job specifications for those particular roles and ask yourself, “What do I need to study to get that experience on my CV”? then you can start to target courses that will help you to develop these necessary skills.
See the new season as the start of a new chapter, do something new. Now is the right time to change yourself and your situation.
Everyone should dream about where they want to be next in their career journey.
