You will be taught to understand:
The importance of preventing the spread of infection.
The key principles of "The Chain of Infection".
The importance and application of the correct hand washing procedures.
The extent to which Personal Protective Equipment can used to protect from the spread of infection.
How to safely handle infected materials and equipment.
Internal Assessment: You will be required to demonstrate your understanding by sitting a single multiple choice paper marking by your tutor.
