This provider is an experienced and inspirational trainer and can come to your school or setting for either a day with the children or with all the staff (CPD Day) The cost can vary dependant on location - it includes; resources, risk assessments and insurance. Please talk to us for tailor made children’s days to suit the age/ability of your children and the possibilities of your school grounds.

If you would like more than one day, a discount is offered. There are a range of CPD days available.
An introduction to outdoor learning: If you would like a general introduction to learning outside the class room with a range of outdoor activities that can be replicated and integrated into lessons to build confidence of staff to include games, activities, craft activities and outdoor classroom health and safety and risk management. This is a good choice as a gentle, fun and inspiring introduction especially or schools and setting that are thinking about using their outdoor space for learning but not sure where to begin

Take 12: Is a training programme for delivering activities, games and challenges for learning outside the classroom. This is a full on day for staff to undertake training to deliver a 12 week programme of outdoor nature related activities, games and challenges to their class. We run through the programme and try out all the activities then discuss ways to deliver and differentiate to address the needs of each child in the group. Includes 12 detailed lesson plans, activity risk assessments and email support during delivery. The sessions are suitable for EY, KS1, KS2 and nurture KS3 staff.

An introduction to Forest School: Is your school contemplating introducing Forest School? Thinking about sending staff off to do their training? Not sure what it is all about or how children will learn in this type of environment? Have a forest school session at your school with lots of hard facts and anecdotal evidence about how it can work for you. Have a go at using tools and fire and find out how children can be safe in a ‘challenging environment’. This is a good choice for schools who want to get everyone ‘on board’ before embarking on a Forest School route.

12 More Training Programme: A full day of games and activities as we run through another 12 outdoor learning sessions. This day requires prior knowledge from ‘Take 12 Training programme for delivering activities, games and challenges for learning outside the classroom’. This session also includes resources and planning for delivering another 12 sessions at your setting.

Learning on the Beach: how can you take learning to the beach? Lots of ideas and activities to enhance any beach visit including safety, risk assessing taking children out on a trip to the beach and utilising the natural resources there.

Staff Team Building Day: A fun, exciting, challenging (and a little bit silly) day of games, activities and challenges for school staff or any adult group that needs to come together as a team. Reawaken the sense of camaraderie and team spirit that makes the dynamics dynamite! Conferences and Workshops: The provider is available to come to conferences as either a Keynote speaker or to run workshops. Suitable for EY, primary, secondary and SEN

Outdoor Learning. Colleges and Universities: Would you like an experienced guest lecturer to come to your campus and work with your students (Especially those looking at careers in EY, Education, Play and Outdoor Education) The day is inspirational, practical and ties in with their studies as well as being a great way to bond year groups and instil a sense of team spirit and harmony. General Information All courses take place in your outdoors environments and are fun and inspirational. Everyone will need to be dressed appropriately for the weather and the environment. The day starts at 9 and finishes about 3.30 with coffee breaks and a lunch break throughout the day. The course organiser for each event will receive complementary copies of Activities, Games and Challenges for learning outside the classroom 1&2 as well as printed resources specific to the workshop. For small settings it is possible to join up with other settings in your area to share the cost. Although the numbers of participants are unlimited, a small extra charge will be incurred per head for numbers over 30 to cover extra resources. Please contact us to secure your training days.

Testimonial
'Thanks again for last Friday, we all had a superb day. Not only was it great fun but we all came away buzzing with ideas to take back, or should I say 'out', of the classroom.
Teachers and support staff alike, have benefited from the day and we are particularly looking forward to using the birds and animal sets, making puppets and creating poetree!
The activities were fun to do and we could easily see how they can be adapted across the curriculum and for all age groups, which is just what we needed.
We feel sure we can now make effective use of our wonderful woodland area thanks to your book and the days activities'
