Description 
This syllabus is great for learners who want to learn about the Spanish language and culture. This course is ideal preparation for university courses and careers. Students will quickly be able to speak and understand Spanish in a variety of common communication scenariois - see course content below. The teaching and learning is focused on the language skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing, and these are built on as students progress through their studies. This course builds on skills, knowledge and understanding gained at I GCSE / GCSE. 
 
The course will also offer insights into the culture and civilisation of countries where Spanish is spoken, thus encouraging positive attitudes towards language learning and towards speakers of foreign languages. 
 
Assessment 
Teacher assessments are continuous during LIVE TAUGHT lessons, marking of coursework and assignments and summative tests. 
 
Homework 
Homework will be given at the end of each week, usually in the form of speaking, listening, and writing exercises. 
 
Reporting 
Parents have 24/7 access to all of their student's coursework. Teachers are available during term times to discuss student progress. 
 
 
Course Outline 
The syllabus content is organised around five broad Topic areas which provide contexts for the acquisition of vocabulary and the study of grammar and structures. 
The course comprises 5 core topics designed to ensure students learn key vocabulary that is useful in everyday life contexts.

To pass the course candidates must succeed in 4 assessment areas:

Paper 2. Reading 
Paper 3. Speaking

Component 2: Reading and Writing 
Component 3: Essay
